Plumbing to a builder's programme

On a new house the plumber is on site multiple times over the course of the build, and each visit has to land in the right week. Get it wrong and the whole job waits. We work to the builder's programme rather than our own, so the build keeps progressing and the next trade is not left waiting.

What we do on a new build

• Under slab. Waste and water set out before the slab goes down, because that is the one stage that is hard to revisit later.
• Pipe out. Hot and cold pipework, waste and vent runs through the frame, pressure tested and signed off before the linings go on.
• Hot water. Cylinder or continuous flow, sized to the house and the number of occupants that will be using the hot water supply.
• Final fit off. Sanitaryware, tapware, the kitchen and laundry connected, commissioned and left working.
• Spouting and downpipes. Spouting and downpipes sized and located to carry the water to where it is supposed to go.

Farms and agricultural infrastructure

Not everything we plumb is a house. We work on farms and their infrastructure around Bream Bay and the wider areas. The sorts of jobs where the pipe sizes are bigger, the water has to be reliable for livestock and factory operations, and the drains need to be clear for appropriate effluent run off.

New builds on tank water

A lot of new houses run off water catchment rather than off council supply. Tank sizing, pump and filtration are installed to accommodate the new home's occupancy and the owner's intentions for the property. This is a very common process for us, so we have the expertise to get this part of the build right.
